چکیده
Penetrating traumas to the gluteal region can occur via vascular injury, nerve injuries, or damage perineal organs. Vascular injuries are usually life-threatening in penetrating traumas. Therefore, use of angiograms may be necessary for management assess bleeding focus. Herein, case a 24-year-old male who applied emergency department with stab wound injury is presented. Digital subtraction angiography (DSA) was performed urgent evaluation, which showed pulsatile from femoral left circumflex lateral artery, whereupon surgeon proximally ligated type 3 artery. However, control DSA taken due continued after procedure revealed that flow artery interrupted, but same blood supply collateral coming iliolumbar branch internal iliac Thereupon, peripheral 5¥60 mm balloon inflated and whether stopped evaluated. Afterward, patient back surgery by surgeon, ligation. In this case, we demonstrative imaging required not only before also trauma treatment provided closure feeding both directions dense areas.

متن کاملSubarachnoid Hemorrhage with Negative Baseline Digital Subtraction Angiography: Is Repeat Digital Subtraction Angiography Necessary?
INTRODUCTION Patients with negative initial digital subtraction angiography (DSA) are at significant risk for re-bleeding, which can lead to severe disability and death. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the necessity of repeat DSA in subgroups of patients with subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) with negative initial DSA. METHODS A total of 904 spontaneous SAH patients were admitted to our...

Iohexol is a nonionic water-soluble iodinated contrast medium with chemical and physical properties similar to those of metrizamide. A randomized double-blind study was performed in 40 patients undergoing intravenous digital subtraction angiography for suspected carotid and vertebral disease to compare the radiographic imaging quality and side effects of iohexol with those of Renografin-76 (dia...
